Mega Yacht Allegedly collides with Tanker off the coast of the Bahamas A 160-foot tanker owned by Maritime Management was allegedly struck by superyacht, Utopia IV, on Christmas Eve in 2021 off Providence, Bahamas. St. Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Suffers Blow to Head at Protest

St. Vincent and the Grenadines — While at a protest organized by the New Democratic Party (NDP) and two trade unions, Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, was struck in the head by an object thrown at him. The blow to the head caused Prime Minister Gonsalves, 75, to suffer a concussion and need medical care.   Protesters came together to rally against the move by his government to have front-line workers vaccinated against the coronavirus.  The […]

Hurricane Elsa is Barbados’ first Hurricane in more than 60 years

  Barbados experienced its first hurricane in more than 60 years. Hurricane Elsa, which impacted Barbados as a category 1 hurricane, caused roofs to be blown off and trees to collapse. Some areas of the island experienced power and water outages. Hurricane Elsa has also impacted the islands of Grenada and Hispaniola.  The storm is expected to impact Cuba, Jamaica, and Florida.
