		</div><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">Haiti&#8211;Haiti is struggling to find a judge in the country that is willing to investigate the assassination of President Jovenel Moise. Sources say that the judges fear for their lives if they take on the case.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 18px;">Several magistrates have told Haiti’s dean of the Court of First Instance that they are not interested in working on the case to uncover the July 7, 2021, assassination of President Moise.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 18px;">It has been said that the Senior magistrate, Bernard Saint-Vil, atte</span><span style="font-size: 18px;">mpted to reassure these judges by telling them he has asked the government to guarantee their safety and has requested bodyguards.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 18px;">Thus far, Haiti’s Police have arrested 44 people in connection with the killing, including 12 Haitian police officers, 18 Colombians who were allegedly part of the commando team, and two Americans of Haitian descent.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 18px;">On July 7, 2021, a commando team assassinated President Moise at Haiti’s presidential residence. His wife, Martine Moise, was wounded but survived.</span></p>
