<p><span style="font-size: 21px; color: #000000;" data-preserver-spaces="true">Officials determined that the move was urgent since Hurricane Elsa is expected to impact Florida on Monday, July 5, 2021.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 21px; color: #000000;">More than a hundred people are still missing from the Champlain Towers South, while 22 are dead. Before the collapse, the Champlain Towers South was preparing for its 40-year recertification process.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 21px; color: #000000;">In April 2021, the Champlain Towers condo association’s president told residents that an engineer had identified significant concrete damage around the base of the building.</span></p>
