		</div><p><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16px;">According to the Vancouver Police, officers have responded to more than 65 sudden deaths since the onset of the heatwave, which began last week Friday.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16px;">Temperatures in Vancouver began to increase last weekend and rose on Monday, June 28, 2021, to 101F.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16px;">Canada’s officials said that the heatwave-related deaths had impacted front-line resources by depleting them and delaying response time.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16px;">Media Relation Officer Sergeant Steve Addison said, &#8220;We&#8217;ve never experienced anything like this heat in Vancouver.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16px;">Most of the people that died are senior citizens.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16px;">Officer Mike Kalanj said, &#8220;We are seeing this weather can be deadly for vulnerable members of our community, especially the elderly and those with underlying health issues.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16px;">It is imperative we check on one another during this extreme heat.&#8221;</span></p>
