Learning to Appreciate The Small Wins

I recently walked Magens Bay (St. Thomas, USVI most famous beach) and had to bask in its beauty.  When you have lived in the Caribbean as long as I have, I sometimes take it for granted, but I couldn’t that day because it was so was beautiful! A beach stroll was what I needed since I had been worried about all of the uncertainty in my life and the world.

As the sand gathered between my toes, I thought “I’m too hard on myself.” Instead of focusing on what was uncertain in my life, I found that I needed to appreciate what was.  Sure, everything is not perfect right now in the world, but I found that despite that, we should cherish the moment even though it is difficult.  Today, I implore you to appreciate the small wins until you make it to the large ones.
